About Llanharan Concrete
Llanharan Concrete, run by brothers Gino and John Cocco, suppliers of concrete products to builders, big and small.

Llanharan Concrete is one of the area's success stories.
Gino and John started the business in 1964 with a second-hand cement mixer and a second-hand block making machine. Now they have two fully automated workshops, ten lorries and they employ 30 people. They supply to customers in Cardiff and throughout the valleys.
The secret of this success? "Good service, good quality and good prices" says Gino.
He added: "We have a very good crowd working here, and the office staff are always pleasant and cheerful".
In their automated workshops, they manufacture all kinds of concrete products: hollow, solid, rock-faced and insulating blocks, paving slabs, reconstructed stone, back edgings, copings and pillar caps. One of their biggest customers is the Welsh Development Agency. Gino said: "We do a lot of special fair faced blocks for the WDA advance factories".
Gino was formerly a hairdresser in Pontyclun. "He was the best barber in South Wales. People used to come from miles around", said Llanharan Concrete office manager and accountant Cornelius Lynch. For several years, Gino led a double life. A hairdresser by day and concrete businessman by night. He said: "My brother and I started the business together. He would run the production part. In the evenings, I would do the background work, planning, selling and buying"
When the concrete business expanded, Gino gave up hair-dressing. He hasn't looked back since. Born near Rome, Gino came to Britain when he was 29.
Llanharan Concrete is situated in Llanharry Road, Llanharan. They are open Mondays to Fridays from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7.30 a.m. to 1p.m.
